Our Christmas Tree

wintertime-072

Here I am sitting between the old-fashioned windows getting some much needed winter sun. I am eagerly awaiting for when the Christmas tree will be put up. This was written by my mama last year about the joys of our Christmas tree to the tune of the song “O Christmas Tree”. I have included an instrumental version. I always love those shiny, round Christmas ornaments. Luckily I have never broken any. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Our Christmas tree, Our Christmas tree

Such joy and delight you bring us
Our Christmas tree, Our Christmas tree

You bring great evergreen beauty to us

We look forward to getting you each year

When it’s cold and snowy outside

Our Christmas tree, Our Christmas tree
You are truly so wonderful
MmMmmmMmm

Our Christmas tree, Our Christmas tree

You do make us smile with joy
Our Christmas tree, Our Christmas tree
We decorate you with great love

Thus each year you are always glowing
Bringing our Sid much fun and joy

Our Christmas tree, Our Christmas tree

Oh how he loves to bat your Christmas ornaments

Our Christmas tree, Our Christmas tree

Christmas ornaments go rolling
Leaving behind glittering tinsel

On your evergreen branches

Sid enjoys this time so much

Watching those shiny balls roll by

Our Christmas tree, Our Christmas tree
You bring all three of us much delight

  1. I really liked your Christmas Poem. Went to share on Linkedin but there was no way to share your poem on Linkedin. If your going to continue writing posts and poems, might want to consider a link or way to share on Linkedin.
