The Face That I Love

Here is the face that I love

he’s a handsome fellow

inquisitive and curious

smart and intelligent

when let loose in the garden

tends to run about

like a madman with a few screws loose

but that only does amuse

just a wonderful furry bundle

of pure love

whether climbing trees

or chasing butterflies

or just catching the breeze

and watching crows fly by

he’s my darling

love his meow

when its mealtime

hugs and kisses

independent only rarely seeking love

just looking at him

I can tell what he thinks

love him to pieces

that’s my Sid

Lost in Thought

It was one of those sunny days when I just wanted to ponder and think. About my plans for the summer, about climbing trees and just about the flowers and butterflies in the garden.

Then the cawing crows and the darn bird twittering disturbed my thoughts. It was going to be a noisy day. So I figured I’d just have to find a place where I could just laze the time away.

Finally I lay down on my favorite bench and too a different look at my world. Perhaps some cloud gazing is in order and then I can nap. Hope you all have a wonderful and sunny day.
